Dr. Michael W Deem is a prominent U.S. scientist. He is currently a venture capitalist and CEO. From 2021 to 2022, Michael was an Entrepreneur in Residence with Khosla Ventures. From 2002 to 2020 he was the John W. Cox Professor at Rice University, renowned for his contributions to the fields of biological physics, bioengineering, and physics. Over the course of his career, Dr. Deem has made significant breakthroughs in understanding the physical and biological mechanisms that underpin life and has been recognized for his work with numerous accolades and awards.
Michael is known for a number of scientific accomplishments. He developed the hierarchical approach to protein molecular evolution.
